ICT innovation clusters

SCS (Secured Communicating Solutions) cluster

SCS results from the alliance of the strengths and capacities of the big ICT, microelectronics, software & multimedia actors in PACA (Alcatel Space, Amadeus, Atmel, Atos Origin, France Telecom, Gemplus, Hewlett Packard, IBM, STMicroelectronics, Philips, SAP, Texas Instruments…), academic and private research labs, and a network of very innovative SMEs. SCS aims to help Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur become the world leader in solutions for transmitting, processing, exchanging information in a secured and reliable way. It facilitates the emergence of innovating collaborative projects that join research laboratories, businesses, education centers, universities and engineer schools, territorial communities, in a common objective: designing and developing the novel solutions integrating electronic components, networks, software, and systems that will shape the world of tomorrow. SCS is at the forefront of actions for employment protection and growth in PACA, aiming to raise employment in the ICT industry from 41,000 jobs in 2006 to 65,000 in 2016.
