La Bâtie-Montsaléon Airfield – Hautes-Alpes
La Bâtie-Montsaléon Airfield is sited in the La Bâtie-Montsaléon Montsaléon locality in the South of the Hautes-Alpes.
It was created privately in the middle of years 1980. Located at the entrance doors of Provence, it takes advantage of specific favorable aerologic conditions. Two companies are established on the airfield: MTA Aviation, specialized in aircraft maintenance, and QUO Vadis, specialized in gliding activities.
This site enjoys worldwide recognition due to Klaus OHLMAN, the general manager of QUO Vadis, who holds several gliding world records. 90% of QUO VADIS’ clientele is of foreign origin, mainly from Northern Europe, but also from the USA and Japan.
